MATERIALHAUS for 3ds Max
Your MATERIALHAUS library docked in 3ds Max. Select objects, click a material, and it goes on as a Corona material at the size it measures in the world.

WHAT IT DOES
- 01
The library docked beside the command panel, and a MATERIALHAUS menu to bring it back.
- 02
Select objects and click Apply: a Corona Physical material, or 3ds Max’s own Physical Material where Corona is not installed.
- 03
The texture arrives at its real-world size: every map at the size it covers, and a real-world UVW Map on each object, whatever its size or orientation.
- 04
Colour, roughness, metalness and normal maps connected, the normal map turned the way 3ds Max reads it. Displacement when you ask for it, at the depth the material states.
- 05
Apply the same material twice and the one in the scene is reused, in one undo step.
- Download the .mzp file.
- Drag it onto a 3ds Max viewport. It installs itself and opens the panel.
- Next time, open it from the MATERIALHAUS menu (in 3ds Max 2025, after the next start).
- Sign in once. Your browser opens; use Google or email, whichever you use on MATERIALHAUS.
GOOD TO KNOW
Said plainly
- Run inside 3ds Max 2024 and 2025 on Windows, with and without Corona. Other releases have not been tried yet, so they are not listed.
- Each object gets a UVW Map named “MATERIALHAUS real-world”, at the top of its stack. That is what keeps the size right on any object; remove it and the texture follows the object’s own mapping instead.
- Relief maps made by MATERIALHAUS are estimated from the colour, not measured; the panel says which, as the website does. V-Ray and the website’s editor inside 3ds Max are not in this version.
- The plug-in talks only to materialhaus.com. Nothing about your scene leaves your computer, and there is no usage tracking.
